Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us.....

I heard my Grandmother say once that" to be remembered meant you actually lived". I was only a young teen girl when I meet Tommy and his siblings. I remember a dark eyed handsome young man who was quite in a house of activity and noise from his many siblings. I He was preparing to leave for his first military duty and I remember saying a foolish young girl prayer that her come back safe as I was hopelessly in teen love. I remember going with my stepfather to visit the family who had just received notice that he had been killed in action by a grenade blast in Viet Nam. I remember the many family phots and how proud his family were of his service. Tommy and his family left a lasting impression on my young life. He will never be forgotten.
