Remembering a friend

I only got to know Tommy for a short time after he joined the gun platoon of our company, maybe two or three months before I left Vietnam. But in that time, Tommy, Jerry Schaffer, and I became fast friends. He was easy to like. My first grandson, my name sake, was born on Jan.20. I think of Tommy each time I see him

Remembering my friend & brother Maverick.

It was 46-years ago that the 175th Assault Helicopter Company, Maverick "Gun Platoon" lost a door gunner, friend & brother in arms of many. I was fortunate to have know you and have you as a friend. You were always a happy & easy going guy when we were not flying and one of the best crewmen / door gunner that the Mavericks ever had in their ranks. I enjoyed kicking back & relaxing after our missions were over & listening to you playing your harmonica. During 175th AHC reunions you are always remembered along with other Maverick, Outlaw & Bushwhacker brothers that gave the ultimate sacrifice.. Thank you for being the man you were & the service you gave to this country. We all miss you & know that you are in a better place. Rest in peace my friend.
