Newly discovered 3rd cousin
Dear Raymond,
I have only today discovered your branch of my Mother’s family (Kilrehel, from Dromore West, Sligo, Ireland) and learnt of your untimely death. I live here in England, UK, and having been born in 1959, didn’t pay too much attention to the war in Vietnam when I was a kid, but was fascinated with it in later years and enjoyed visiting the country in 2018.
The war was a terrible thing for both countries and I can hardly come to terms with a young man of 19 years gaining the rank of Sergeant and then being killed in action.
A sad loss to his family and his country.
Rest in Peace Raymond
