I found this bracelet at a garage sale!!!!

I found this memorial bracelet in a box of old costume jewelry and instantly it hurt my feelings! Surely, this was a mistake and I asked the ladies if they had included this in the sale...both looked at me like I was crazy and I knew they had no idea what it was nor how important it was. I bought the entire box even though I hate costume jewelry!! I didn't care the cost. I figure it far outweighed what it meant to his family.

Since then, I've (very difficultly before the internet) doing my best to find the people who loved and were proud of this brave man!!

I am looking for anyone who may know the family and how I may get in touch with them. I did read that several people also have the bracelet so there were probably several made...

Below (hopefully it turned out) is a photo of the bracelet in case anyone recognizes it.

Feel free to share this photo and post until his family is reunited with his bracelet.

Again, thank you, Deb Wheeler

Not Forgotten

I also wore a MIA bracelet with Lt. Roger Innis inscribed on it. I have it to this day! Wondering for 50 years about the young man and what became of him. I was so very sorry to see he was a casualty of this war as were several of my high school friends. I am proud to have worn this bracelet in his honor for his ultimate sacrifice.

I didn't really know you...

I remember seeing you and your special girl, Sandy, sitting on the lawn in front of the Chi Omega house as I walked to my own residence. There you were in the sunshine, looking so happy. I am a chaplain now. When I am asked to speak on Memorial Day, I always mention your name. I am sorry you never got to live "happily ever after."

Giving Thanks

I too wore a MIA bracelet with Roger Innes' name on it, still have it. I have often wondered what he looked like, where he came from and if his remains had ever been found. I'm so grateful to this page for offering up all of that and more, for now Lt. Innes is brought to life in my mind and heart. Thank you Lt Innes for your sacrifice for your country and to this organization for all the work you have done to honor our fallen serviceman. God Bless.
