Maui remembers YOU, PSGT Hachiro Imae.
At the Candle Light Ceremony gathering for the fallen 44 Maui County Viet Nam casualties , I met your relative in line to light a candle. We talked story. Previous to that or several days before that, she signed the Thank you book I had prepared for Janna. That was at the April 2013 dinner at the Maui Tropical Plantation, also to honoring the Maui County Fallen. I am originally from, Kihei, Maui, now in North Carolina. My brother, Esteban Wallace Tadena was a Nov. 1967 casualty. I want to say thank you to you and your relative. We most likely will meet again at the next reunion. Your are in their thoughts and prayers.
AT Pau Hana, when the Maui Sun sets, and when the Maui Moon lights our ways, in the mornings when the Sun rises, we remember YOU! There are not words big enough, no hugs strong enough, no smiles or grins wide enough. Your family, your extended families, your friends, your Unit buddies, we all offer our Aloha Nui! You must know you are our Hero, always has been, always will be ! Mary-Blossom T. Sullivan

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PSGT Hachiro Imae, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
