Thank You

Dear Sgt Walter Hutchinson, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Your 50th anniversary is soon, sad. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Friend

Walter was my best friend/buddy in the service.
We, were in Basic training Fort Knox, AIT Fort Poke,
NCO school at Ft.Benning and than Ft.Lewis training
AIT. He was a special person, and I will never forget
Him. When we went to Viet Nam we got split up.
That was the last time I saw him. I, would like to visit his
Home town. Any, family member please contact me
At 231 3577070, I would be glad to talk with you.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Walter Eugene Hutchinson, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

THANK YOU, WALLY, FOR YOUR SERVICE AND ULTIMATE SACRIFICE <3

Wally was 1 of 11 children whom I had the honor and privilege of "growing up with" summer to summer, when my parents, Alice and Walter Claeson, would bring me (and a cousin or friend) to our Rustan Resort log cabin....sometimes year after year, sometimes a year or two in between.....but I always remember the Hutchinson family fondly, Audry, Jimmy, Nicki, Herbie, Wally, Joey, Val (Vi), Artie, Tommy (T), Mary and Raymond.....summers spent with my dad distributing comic books to the kids, eating with them all at their table.....I am sooo sorry, but I just couldn't handle the pure, warm cow milk from which they'd gotten from their cows (usually had to get a can of pop from my folks' car, lol)......but the most fun was the idea of wanting to sleep in the hayloft (I'm 67 now so I'm not certain my folks ever allowed it), but running through the meadows, TRYING SO HARD to watch out for "cow-pies", and sometimes not succeeding......I love all of them so very much and miss those times terribly.....if only we could turn back time! Well, I've heard it said that every person has their own kind of heaven, so, maybe that will be mine! R.I.P. Sgt. Walter E. Hutchinson and know that you and your family are in my heart forever <3
