Not Forgotten
Jay was a member of my squad and my RTO on the day he was killed.
He talked about his home in New Hampshire all the time.
He was a good soldier. I have never forgotten him.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

Never Forgotten
ALWAYS REMEMBERED
Slip off that pack. Set it down by the crooked trail. Drop your steel pot alongside. Shed those magazine-ladened bandoliers away from your sweat-soaked shirt. Lay that silent weapon down and step out of the heat. Feel the soothing cool breeze right down to your soul....and rest forever in the shade of our love, brother.
From all your "Band of Nam Brothers"

Thank You
Jay,
In my history class at school we are doing a project to honor the brave American Heros who died fighting for our country. At only nineteen, you gave up you life, goals, and dreams about your future to fight for our country, fellow Americans, and those in need. We will never be able to adequately thank or repay you, but we are truly grateful for your selfless sacrifice! We will never forget you! God Bless you and your loved ones!
