Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Jeffrey Lawrence Barlow, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Served with Jeff

I remember Jeff as a very young man with a wife and a new son. We were on a FSB in Vietnam next to a city named Dinh Quan ( aka Rock City). I fell bad that I have not posted an rememberance sooner. I always wondered what ever happen to his famil and his son. He has not be forgotten!

Jeff was COOL!

Jeff was COOL! Always singing. He married a
friend of ours, Shirley, when he got his orders for Vietnam. He said she would be pregnant before he left. He was right, twice. 9 months after he left, she had twins, a boy, Scott and a girl, Shelly. He died in Vietnam when they were 7 weeks old. I'm still very angry that he died. I will never get over it. I know his family won't either. His wife never remarried. He now has 6 grandkids. We Love You Jeff! and we will always think about you and miss you and wish you were here. Your friend, Karan
