To Put A Face With A Name

Dear Rodney, to honor your memory and the sacrifice you made for our country I want to make sure your photo will be displayed on your birthday each and every year when the Education Center is completed, so it is with great pride and humility that I post this remembrance and picture of you. You are not forgotten and remain in the hearts of many all these years later. You have been designated to be one of God's special angels, along with the love of my life, who also sacrificed his life during this war 45 years ago. God Bless You, Rodney, for being who you were and for all you did--we live in freedom to this day thanks to heroes like you.

RODNEY LEROY HUDDLESON and Kenneth Olenzuk USMC

I am hoping to find Marines who knew either Rodney or Kenneth Olenuzk who were WIA in the same incident on Dec 19, 1967. Both were KIA, Rod was immediate, and Ken was a few days later on Dec 25,Christmas. They both were both in 3RD PLT, D CO, 3RD RECON BN, 3RD MARDIV, III MAF and part of Recon Team Call sign 'Marshall Hall'.

Please if you run across this site, contact [email protected].
Thank you and

Semper Fidelis.

SEMPER FI

I VISIT U EACH YEAR. SOMETIMES I LEAVE U W/ AN EMPTY BUSCH LIGHT CAN BUT I ALWAYS CLEAN YOUR HEADSTONE & MAKE SURE U HAVE A FLAG. U WERE MY FIRST FELLOW VETERAN BURIAL. I JOINED THE CORPS IN 69 AND SPENT ABOUT 4 MOS. IN COUNTRY SOUTH OF DA NANG. THEN TRICKY DICK SAID WE'RE OUTTA HERE. I HAVE UNFORTUNATELY ATTENDED MANY OTHERS THRU THE YEARS TO EXPRESS MY RESPECT FOR U ALL. REST-IN-PEACE.
