I just read about you in a book called "Ripcord." You were a great soldier and a well liked man in your company. There is a photo of you and a friend that caught my eye because I had seen that photo of you on the "Wall of Faces" site. Tying a face to a name on the wall is one thing, but knowing exactly what happened to that person is another more powerful testament to that person's life. I am humbled by your sacrifice. Rest in peace.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. It remains my fervent hope you will be returned home after the passage of so many years.

May those who served never be forgotten. We can never truly repay the great debt we owe our fallen heroes. Rest in peace SSGT. Howard, I salute your brave soul. My heart goes out to you and your family.
