Visited Meadow Fork

I know you know everything that happens now. I was in Texas when you were laid to rest on the side of that little mountain in Meadow Fork. The one thing I wanted to do in my lifetime was to visit your resting place. When Aunt Bill and Uncle Louis went to Heaven, we learned from your mama's obituary that her mother was a cousin to our gggrandfather. When Susan took me on our adventure to find your memorial, we were thrilled to see that you, and many of your mother's family are interred in the same mountain cemetery as our ancestors.
From the moment we met, as kids, we felt like family. Now I know we really were, and I know why I was so determined to visit your resting place. Some day we'll all have a great reunion. Not a day goes by that we don't think of you, and smile. Love you Joe.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SN Joseph Boyce Adams, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
