I never got to meet you I was only one year old when you were killed. My grandmother Ora Black (Houck). She used to talk about you and had pictures of you hanging up. Ora's brothers son was Alen p. Houck. My name is Dean and I wish I could have thanked him for his service!

My Big Brother
I remember the day so clearly in my mind. the day they notified us that you weren't coming home. I was riding my bike and I saw the men in uniform and a priest knocking on our door, I just knew. I remember you always loving kids. Buying bags of penny candy for me and our cousins. And renting the triumph motorcycles when you came home on leave.
