thank you

Thank you for giving your life for our country. I'm the daughter of Patrick Eugene Hosler and I'm sad to say I never met my grandfather. He died 17 years before I was born.

Uncle Gene

Thank you Uncle Gene for your bravery and sacrifice, I was only 6 mos old when you left us, but have heard many stories about you from mom. Particularly you catching the kids that would jump from the second story into your arms. I am sorry to have never met you, but I will in the end. God Bless, and thank you for your service.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Carry that Weight

Soldier, you have carried the weight of a lifetime on your shoulders. You have my admiration and my respect. It took an amazing amount of bravery to give what you have sacrificed for America, thanks. I am a junior at Gridley High School working on a school project to honor all the fallen heroes of Vietnam. You and your peers are not forgotten. It is a pleasure to post this humble thank you note for you, Franklin. God bless
