My Uncle, my hero

I think of you often and have peace knowing I will see you again. Every chance I can wave the flag of freedom you fought for I do. Such a sad sacrifice of so many lives and for what outcome? Does anyone know? No! I hold onto my memories of you growing up and cherish the airplanes you built with Dad when you were growing up. I look forward to seeing them again when I go home to Iowa.. love yoU Uncle Bob!

Honoring my Father

On 11/7/2017 during the commemoration of the 35th Anniversary of The Wall, I will be reading my father's name along with the names of 29 others lost too soon who share panel 4E with him.

He left for Vietnam in April of 1965 when I was only three months old and died in a plane crash December 11, 1965, just 4 months shy of his scheduled retirement. I'm attaching one of the only pictures I have of him and me.

I would love to hear more about him from anyone who knew him.
