Never Met You, But Often Thinking of You
My dad, Larry Etchieson, served with Mike Hoppers, and was there the day Mike was killed in action. Dad talked of Mike all the time. Dad passed away January 2nd, 2023, with mom and me at his bedside. Dad's war trauma was pretty severe, and on difficult days I would often think of Mike, and how dad made it home when others didn't. Rest in peace.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. I am 73 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.
