Hello Jon
It's been 39 years since I lost you but not a day passes that I don't think of you. We became friends at Ft. Gordon and hung out.
We completed Jump School then were sent to Nam together. That was a brave act you did that August morning when I lost you. I still feel the pain in my chest and sometimes I cry whenever I reminence about our friendship. I will never forget you.

Thoughts of You
Jon, I remember you from Mr.Crookston's biology class. We all looked up to you. You were a year ahead of me at La Quinta H.S.
and I knew your brother Pat better than you. I remember you surfed alot at Huntington Beach. Your blond hair and friendly disposition caught the attention of all the girls, and the rest of the guys wanted to be like you.
I heard you joined the military. Slade told me you were killed in action. I was still in high school. Since that day there has not been a 4th of July or Veterans Day that I have not thought of you and said your name.
