Visited your grave site today on the 52 anniversary of your death. Your sacrifice is not forgotten.

Heard about him when I was in the Columbus Police Academy. They named the auditorium at the old police academy after him. Officers who knew him told stories about his character as a police officer, and about his eventual death in Vietnam. He put others first.

Dear CWO Richard Holycross, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Officer. It was just Independence Day, and there is no better time to honor you. Please watch over the USA, it still needs your strength. Rest in peace with the angels.
