Thank You

Dear PFC William Hollmen, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. This week is Independence Day, and there is no better time to honor you. Please watch over the USA, it still needs your strength. Rest in peace with the angels.

Love you like a brother.

Love you and miss you Bill (Gringo). We saw a lot of combat together
my good friend. I always think of you and wish you were here !
I would just like to get on the phone and call my good buddy Gringo.
I'm sorry that I couldn't have saved you, but I know that you're in a better place
than I'm in.
God Bless you.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC William Harry Hollmen, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

I still remember

As a small boy and friend of William's brother Mark, I still remember the day at Taylor Hicks school, Mark announced the Passing of this great young man. Never a veterans day passes that I dont say a silent thank you to William for his sacrifice for me. I will always remember.
