THE WALL OF FACES

Visited Vietnam wall last night to pay my respects to panel 19E, Row 72. Richard August Hein of Vernal, Utah (my Grandmother's brother) is the name two to the left of your family member Kenneth L. Holder on the wall.
I offer my deepest condolences to your family for their loss of Kenneth and visited them on the wall in June 2002 and 5 - 6 March 2023.

I had the privilege of being Ken's funeral escort. I will never forget presenting the flag to his parents. Only a few weeks later I received orders to the exact same Marine Corps unit, 2nd Bn, 3rd Marines. Semper Fidelis DOC.

Kenneth Holder was in my company at Hospital Corpsman School from September-December, 1965. After HM school we went our separate ways and I lost contact with him and my other classmates. When I discovered his name on The Wall I was stunned. Now, at the ripe old age of 75, I have often reflected on how much he missed out on by dying at such a young age. Here is one of your classmates that will always remember you and your sacrifice.
