I was sitting 5' away when you bend down and picked up the Entrenching tool that was booby trap and the Explosion accurr, and your last words you said to me was, "hey Chief you need some more Coco" it was a drink that we just got Resupply on the LZ somewhere in mountains around Ashua Valley, I could be the one to step on that booby trap. I Remember you everyday and in my Heart, Over the years now I've been talking to your only Sister Shirley Richert in Ohio.

RIP my friend. Nearly 55 years ago, but I remember it like yesterday. Everyone's friend and a good soldier.
