Thank You

Dear PFC Phillip Hill, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Yesterday was the 75th anniversary of D-Day, and we should remember all of you who served. Watch over the USA, it still needs your courage. Rest in peace with the angels.

Phillip Hill

I was 10 years old when this bright young man was killed in Vietnam. He was a dear friend of my family in Pontiac MI. He would come to our home often. He was very kind and handsome. Phil was very nice to all of us and it broke my heart when I knew he was going to fight in a war. I was just a child but it had a huge impact on me because many of the young men in our neighborhood were being sent away. One of Phillips friends came to our home to let us know that he had been killed. I will never forget that day as long as I live. I often think about him and what his life would have been like if he would have lived.
May his sweet soul rest in peace, is was an honor to have been part of his life.
