I served with Jim when he was assigned to the 472nd Signal Company in Germany.

Jim served as an Orderly Room clerk when stationed at the 472nd Signal Company at Panzer Kaserne near Boeblingen, Germany. Jim, two other clerks and myself were roommates. Jim wanted to work in his trained MOS as a helicopter mechanic so he volunteered to go to Vietnam after about 6 months with 472nd Signal Company. He was a great guy.
