Edward C Higgins PFC Army USA In memory of Carol De Nobrega

I came upon this site looking up a fellow classmate, SGT. John Fako who lost his life in Nam, 1970. I never knew you but heard about you from my sister Carol. I know she wrote to you while you were in Nam! Back then, I came home from school and picked up the mail! In the mail was a letter my sister had mailed to you. It was returned to her unopened ! I remember reading the outside of the unopened envelope as if it were today! There was a stamp on it that read, Verified Deceased ! Under this cold stamped message was a stamp of a pointed finger with a Captains name of whom I can’t recall! I believe my sister told me you were a speed skater and life guard! I have always remembered reading that envelope over these many years. I wanted you to know that my sister cried when I handed her the letter you never received! I thank you for your service and sacrifice!
