It was an honor and privilege to announce your name at the Reading of the Names ceremony celebrating the dedication of The Wall on November 9 in Washington, DC. May you rest in eternal peace.

Dear PFC George Hesse, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. It is almost Memorial Day when we honor you. Please watch over the USA, it still needs your courage. Rest in peace with the angels....

George - You were in my brother Johnny's class. You are remembered and honored for your service to our country. Albert, another VN Veteran and poet, visited your name on the Traveling Vietnam Wall exhibit at the Tree of Life Church in New Braunfels, TX this Memorial Day. I shared your name and 6 other DP VN hero's names with him, as he agreed to visit each of you and say a prayer. His wife and daughter took pictures and etchings of all your names. You know all the Deer Park, NY guys = MICHAEL A LACKNER - FRANK C AMBROSIO - FRANK A GAGLIARDO - BRUCE E KANE –WILLIAM A MONTANO -RONALD F RICCIARDO- Albert said you are among good company with the other brave men and women who sacrificed so much for our country. You will always be remembered, honored and respected.

George - we worked at Path Mart Deli Counter through High School. You a Deer Park Kid, Me Bruno, Zajack and Spellman - all N. Babylon Kids. Loved our time together - you were a character and so much fun to hang out with. Just know that your not forgotten. Rob Ryan

Dear PFC George Bernard Hesse, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
