Life long debt
I was wounded early in the fight and lay unconscious. Lt. Herron and the rest of the Marines who fought and won, saved me from a bayonet. I've carried a life long debt.

He was our Exec, Alpha 1/9
Every officer in the company was wounded or killed early except for the XO. He took over 2nd Platoon. It was in reserve. He moved forward and fought for us all, gallantly and well until he fell.
