I wore your name

As a young girl I wore your name on my wrist. I will always cherish you. I watched the ugliness of the war on TV every day. My heart broke for my guys sent to a scentless war. I never believe it was a conflict as the news reported. Boys of my age being drafted, and for what.

I wore his bracelet

I wore his bracelet so long there was no silver, only brass. I visited DC with my wife and two boys and was able to get an etching of your name. It was quite emotional for me. I so hoped you would make it home. Thank you Henry. As a son of a Japanese POW, I thank you for your service.
