Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. May you rest in eternal peace.

To the family and friends of Richard Balukonis, I send my belated and sincere condolences. I did not have the honor of knowing him personally, but we were on the same ship that sent us to Vietnam. To my knowledge, he was the only "other" Lithuanian aboard that ship, and for us it was a "personal" fight against the Communism that stole our own homeland during WWII. Richard, may you rest in peace.

Though I never met you... I am sure we are related in some way through our Lithuanian ethnicity and by being Balukonis.
You died so young and we all deeply say... Aciu "Thank-you" for you sacrifice for our freedom.
We pray that you may walk in the Kingdom of God
