I went to grade school with Wesley at St. Boniface, about 65 years ago. We were seated in alphabetical order, so Wesley always sat in front of me. I can still ser his smile. I can still hear his voice. I wish we could have met again.

Dear Lt Wesley Hendrickson,
Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Commander. It's Mother's Day. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in Peace with the angels.

This is Kristine Johnson-Krekelberg just wanting to say my maiden name was Hoffstrom at the time of knowing Wesley so just wanted to let people know that.

Wesley's Mom and my Mom were best friends and although I was the baby of our family and missed alot of history between our families I had a BIG crush on Wesley and certainly would have been honored to be in his consideration although alot younger and only in elementary school at the time. I was crushed and very saddened to find out he was killed mostly because he was a great guy and does not surprise me that he was killed trying to rescue others as he was that type of person as was his entire family serving others.
