honoring you...

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from Donna Gossett is moving and reflects the anguish experienced by so many families that lost loved ones in this war. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us….

Thank You

Dear Cpl Robert Hays,
Thank you for your service as a Medical Corpsman. Thank you for the lives you saved. It is Easter week. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL Robert Bradford Hays, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

I never knew you.

When I was a kid, my best friend and I would take walks around town. We always made a point to stop by your dad's station. He always had something kind to say and on many occasions gave us a piece of bubble gum. I never knew you, but I cried the day my dad told me that you had died. Your dad never seemed the same after that, oh, he was still just as kind but you could see it in his eyes. It was as though a part of him had died too. I know he was proud of you. I never knew you, but I was proud of you too and I will never forget you. Thank you for all that you gave. Respectfully, Donna Gossett
