do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

In Honor of an American Hero

The Luther E Ball High School in Highland Hills, Ohio, is a comprehensive high school within the Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility. Luther, was a brief resident at this facility prior to entering the Army. After his untimely death, the School District wanted to name the facility in his honor. On September 26, 1969, the Buckeye United School District dedicated the former Cuyahoga Boys School after Luther. It is my pleasure to forward this information on to anyone who knew Luther as a young man.
