May those who served never be forgotten. Rest in peace WO. Havemann, I salute your brave soul. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Warrant Officer James Edward Havemann, Served with the 118th Assault Helicopter Company, 145th Aviation Battalion, United States Army Support Command Vietnam, Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MACV).

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Always a pleasure to fly with. You and i had plenty of missions together and you always wanted to do the flying. No argument there as there wasn't enough "o's" in smooth to describe your control touch. "Do you think we can make it in that small LZ?" And, of course Jim would say, "No problem". Salute to you James. I have a photo of us on the flight line.

Dear WO James Havemann,
Thank you for your service as an Utility & Light Cargo Single Rotor Helicopter Pilot. It is Easter Sunday and Passover. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
