My great friend Jack Hatfield

My name is Dave Henke and Jack and I went through training together but sent to different areas in Vietnam. We became very close friends and I am still torn up about what happened to him ! I was lucky and made it back home . I am proud to be married for 54 years and have three kids and four grandkids but when I sit around and think about it I get upset thinking about it that he didn’t have the same outcome I’ve had . I know Jack would have made some lady a great husband and would have a special dad if he would have had children. I miss you buddy , you were a true American hero !!!!

Thank You

Dear Sgt Jack Hatfield,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. It is Holy Thursday. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
