I Remember Your Sacrifice
Cpl. U.S. Army, {US67074711}, Vietnam War-Cpl. Hassell was killed in action from multiple fragmentation wounds on 6-1-1968 while serving as an Infantryman with Co. C of the 2nd Battalion, 60th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division. Cp. Hassell started his tour of Vietnam on 3-18-1968.
Cpl. Hassell is the son of Mrs. Doradine Fleming 15th St. Marks Place, Brooklyn, New York, and the father of one daughter, Miss Norma A. Hassell of the Virgin Islands.
Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Norman.
