Last talk
Bill married the girl on the next farm from us. I was @ 10 years old and was walking the fields when I bumped into him doing the same. He was plinking with his 22 rifle. We talked for a little while and he told me he was leaving the next day for Vietnam. He seemed so solemn. He definitely had a load on his mind. New wife,,,baby on the way,,,and going off to war.
I will never forget that.
