REMEMBRANCES
Grateful heart...
As an American, I thank you and honor you for the ultimate sacrifice you made. Your last breath was taken so that I am able to enjoy a life of freedom & safety in this wonderful country we live in. Although some are undeserving of such a sacrifice, I am forever grateful & indebted. Thank you. I strive to be the best American I can be. As you look upon us, I can only hope I've served your honor along with every fallen American soldier, well.
As a cousin to your two beautiful boys, your legacy has been carried on through two of the best I know. There is no doubt how proud you would be. With that being said, you have a 3rd generation Harworth that is a spitting image of you. What a fantastic little boy he is!
You will forever be a blessing to our family, the Harworth family & the American family.
Thoughts of you this evening & a grateful heart forever.
Until I have the pleasure of meeting you one day, may you continue soaring with the angels above. May every American respect & honor your memory..,,
All my love & gratitude,
Shannon
Remembering an American Hero
Dear SMS Elroy Edwin Harworth, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
