Thank you for your service

LCPL David M Hartogh,
I never met you, I definitely wish I had. You were my dad's best friend during Vietnam, and you were taken from us all way too young. Because you meant so much to my father, I am honoring you through my son. He has your name David as part of his middle name. God Bless you.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear LCPL David Michael Hartogh, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Boot Camp Buddy

Together we served all training from Boot Camp until we set foot in the Nam. Then we seperated. One day we will stand together as MARINES again. SEMPER FI, MY FRIEND. REST IN PEACE.
