Harlan A&P Grocery Store
Ken was a year or so older than me and we met in 1966 while both working for A&P. We just moved to Harlan and my father was the new store manage. Remember Ken as a big raw boned country boy from Grays Knob. He always seemed very confident of himself and his appearance was always neat. I will share a quick story. One really hot summer day my Dad was watching a shoplifter and when the thief was exiting the store, my Dad who also a big country boy grabbed the guy and pulled him down, well Ken who was just coming through the front door eating an orange popsicle saw what was happening and with out dropping his popsicle grabbed the guy and helped my Dad pin him on the floor. My last visual memory of Ken was him with his knee in this guys back on the floor while still eating his orange popsicle, with a big smile on his face... Thanks for the memory my friend. Philip Adams

Thank You
Dear PFC Kenneth Harris,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. It is Lent, which is a time of preparation. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
