Gone but never forgotten ! RIP

John was 1 year older than I. I knew John from my very early days growing up in "Main South" and then again while at St. John's High. I have posted about John in the past and have visited him at the DC wall. Rest assured John, that while I live so will your memory. When the occasion presents, I will often share your memory with others. I share your memory like the hero you are. RIP my young friend.

Life"s strange fate.

John,
I first met you at a St. Peter"s dance.....1965. We were both interested in the same dance partner. Mary Martha Murphy 9 Clifton St. I must have won out? I never saw you again. I joined the Marine Corps in Dec of '67. Did not see her until on leave in May of '69. I was Stationed at Marine Corps Air Station , New River as an aircraft electrician. Home on leave in November of '69, I took Mary Martha to your Services. KIA Republic of Viet Nam. She did not want me to go in with her...I did not. In June of 1970 Mary Martha came to visit me in North Carolina. In early August, I recieved orders to Da Nang, Viet Nam.
