55 years ago today.
My brother was also on that mission with you, Shriver, Jameson and Cahill with 20 Montagnards. It's been a day of mourning since 4-24-70, when I saw the entry in Walt's diary.

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.

Never forgotten
The best of the best. Greg attended a catholic boys school and I attended the catholic girls school across the river. Since we had no males we recruited Greg from de la selle high school for our school plays. We became close friends having appeared in several school plays together. He took me to my senior prom and was so handsome in his uniform. He taught me how to drive a stick shift with his new vw bug. We drove most of 35w while it was being built and under construction-what fun we had.
I never really knew why he enlisted and to become speciall forces. How sad when he was buried and had a 21 gun salute. That memory will always be with me and memories of one of greatest men to live. Thank you Greg for your bravery, your compassion and friendship . We will meet again and you will smile that beautiful smile.
