THE WALL OF FACES

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

I’m so proud to have received your name and a part of a flag to keep in my wallet with the remembrance of you and the Vietnam War with me for the rest of my life. I could never know what it was like for you during the war but I know that you are so brave. Your birthday is coming soon so happy birthday! I know you are okay up there but you are missed by many. Although I have not met you I have heard great things about you. I will always strive to be the best that I can be and the bravest I can be in honor and in the memory of you. I will always remember you and thank you for your service.

Dear PFC John Harper,
Thank you for your service as a Flight Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice. Your 74th birthday is soon, happy birthday. It is now Lent. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
