Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Ronald Charles Bakewell, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Wow Smoke!

It's been a long time but I've never forgotten you. We went to church for many years together. Remember the nights at the Sons Of Italy dances and I remember you having your moms 59 Ford Fairlane Hardtop Convertible and me getting sick in it but you never got mad. I think of you often my friend. Take care Smokey!

THE COUSIN I ONLY KNEW FOR A SHORT TIME

As I sit on this Memorial Day and ponder what all has happened over the last 50 years, it is hard not to say thank you for your service and sacrifice. Your contribution to our freedom will never go unappreciated.

To my Uncle

It make me sad that we never met. I know in my heart you are such a special Uncle and I thank you for your sacrifice. I know you are with us still and I like knowing that. Thank you
