THE WALL OF FACES

Too few words have been written about David Hann. David was one of the good guys from the start. Kind hearted and soft spoken, friendly to everyone. I am lucky to be counted as one of his friends. I grew up with him in Robert E. Lee Apartments in Kingsport Tennessee. We ruled the neighborhood and the city. We shared so many experiences. We shared the Boys Club and all of those stories. More over we shared a common life among good people. David made a sacrifice most of us will never be asked to make. David is a true hero and will always be remembered in my heart. I have taken my children to his grave site on several occasions and told them the stories about our childhood. I know he would be proud of them. Rest in peace David for we, the Rice Terrace and Lee Apartments gang will join you and we will rule heaven like we ruled Kingsport.

I was with David that Oct day in 1971. I'll never forget the sights and sounds of that day. I think of him often.
