A touched American citizen - Thank you Jeff (Perry's brother)
I visited the wall in 2010, and couldn't help but read this letter sitting at the foot of the wall, from Perry's brother Jeff, who was crushed and forever effected by his brother's death in Vietnam. I cried on the spot, and to this day I am still effected by this family's loss. Thank you Jeff, and thank you Perry for paying the ultimate sacrifice for me to live in freedom.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear LCPL Perry Eugene Haney, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

God Bless and Keep.
My sister dated Duke. He was always at the house. Just a really great guy. I was 5 years younger than him. But I thought he was one brave soul. With all the difficulties he had in his life. He was a true success story. By his own making and his beloved grandmother. Always remembered. Attended his funeral and was so moved.
