Dear PFC Fred Hampton,
Thank you for your service as an Antitank Assaultman. Today is the last day of winter. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Fred, It's been 49 years since we met. I remember all of us at the Washout the night before that faithful day on the 31st. You will always be remembered.
