Thank you Jerry W. Hammock.
I just want to say thank you for the sacrifice you made by giving your life on a battlefield in Vietnam, so I can live in a free country. I still remember the last time I saw before you shipped out for Vietnam. And I still remember the day you returned. I was only 8 years old but your death made a lasting impression. I thank God for allowing me to grow up in our little community of Providence near Westmoreland, Tennessee. God bless you and your family.

I knew Cpl. Jerry Hammock personally. We grew up in the same neighborhood. I remember his military funeral. It changed me forever. Thank you family for your sacrifice. Cpl. Hammock, thank you for my freedom.

honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.
