Stand up guy !
When so many played what card they could to avoid ACTIVE service Ron stepped up to the plate and joined the Marine Corps. While many played volleyball on the beach between reserve meetings a few others (very, very few) of the college crowd were being shot at in Southeast Asia. 1st. Lt. Ron Hamilton was one of those and did not survive. Few (very, very few) are so inclined to visit his burial site at Rosecrans, but at least think about him occasionally.
