Lt Col Eugene D Hamilton was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism and extraordinary achievement while engaged in aerial flight. He served as a Pilot, Tactical Aircraft, and was assigned to the 469th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 6234th Tactical Fighter Wing, 13th Air Force.
