I was in Charley Co., 69th Engr. BN. with SP-4 Baker. He was quiet, easy to get along with. I was with him earlier in the day he was KIA.

Specialist Four Raymond John Baker was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary gallantry in action. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his sustained meritorious service. He served as an Engineer Missile Equipment Specialist and was assigned to
C CO, 69TH ENG BN, 34TH ENG GROUP, 20TH ENG BDE.
