The hook slide in baseball
Donald taught me how run the bases and do a hook slide to avoid being tagged out in baseball. Thanks Coach.

Ground Casualty
SP4 Donald W. Hall was a medical specialist serving with Delta Company, 25th Medical Battalion, 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army Republic of Vietnam. Delta Company was a medical clearing station for 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division fighting men based at Cu Chi Base Camp in Hau Nghia Province, RVN. On April 11, 1966, Hall was found dead in the rear of an ambulance at Cu Chi after he aspirated the contents of his stomach. Aspiration occurs when foreign material is inhaled into the airway causing asphyxiation from a blocked respiratory tract. In healthy adults, it may happen during sleep when the sedating effects of alcohol impair cough and gag reflexes. The Army initially reported Hall’s cause of death as pneumonia; however, in a corrected final casualty report released November 1, 1966, the cause of death had been amended to “severe pulmonary congestion and severe fatty metamorphosis of liver,” the latter condition an adverse health effect associated with an acute alcohol use disorder. An Army volunteer, Hall was 22 years old.
