A Hero

MSG Clyde Hall was my uncle and I wish I could have spent more time with him. He was killed when I was 15. I joined the Army and used him and my father as models as to what it was to be a soldier. I am also a combat veteran. I am still in the Army and He is my Hero.

A True Professional

I had the privilege of serving with MSG Clyde Hall at his last duty station in Vietnam. He was serving as the Operations Sergeant of a five man advisory team which I, as a first lieutenant, commanded in the military district of Quan Long, An Xuyen Province. He was constantly seeking ways to gain the confidence of the regional and popular forces to combat the enemy. After I was reassigned to another duty, elsewhere in Vietnam, I received the word that he had been killed in action. MSG Hall was a true professional in every sense of the word. I will always remember the example he set for the advisory team. Colonel Joel H. Ward, U. S. Army, Retired. ([email protected])
